National Assembly approves eight ordinances



KATHMANDU: A session of the National Assembly (NA), the upper house of the Federal Parliament, approved eight various ordinances today.

The ordinances approved include the Social Security (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2022; Acid and Other Harmful Chemical Substances (Regulation) Ordinance,2022; and the Nepal Police and Province Police (Operation, Supervision and Coordination) First Amendment Ordinance, 2022.

Likewise, the NA also approved the Medicine (Third Amendment) Ordinance, 2022; the Health Professionals and Health Institutions’ Security (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2022.

Similarly, today’s meeting approved the Ordinance Amending Some Acts Related to Criminal Offence and Criminal Procedures, 2022; the Ordinance Amending Some Acts Against Sexual Violence, 2022 and the Railway Ordinance, 2022.

The meeting unanimously approved all these eight ordinances.

The National Assembly will next meet at 6 pm on Tuesday.
