Jazeera Air stalls at Gautam Bouddha Int’l Airport, Bhairahawa

KATHMANDU: The Jazeera Airways flight made from Kuwait to Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa has been stalled at the destination airport after the suspicion that it might have struck a bird during landing.

According to an airport official, the bird is suspected to have struck the plane. However, no remains were found on the runway. The officials are skeptical that the bird might have entered the engine as there are blood spots on the body of the plane.

Retaining anonymity, the official said that the plane will take off only after ensuring that the bird has not gone into the engine part.

“There is no damage to the exterior of the plane and the landing was also normal,” the official said.
