NC wins mayor, UML deputy mayor in Panchkhal



KAVRE: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Mahesh Kharel and CPN-UML candidate Suryamaya Danuwar have registered their victory as mayor and deputy mayor of Panchkhal municipality in Kavrepalanchowk, respectively.

According to the vote count results published this morning, Kharel gathered 12,836 votes to become the mayor of Panchkhal while Danuwar secured 9,534 votes to win the deputy mayoral post. Kharel’s close contender Kanchan Adhikari of UML got 8,115 votes.

Likewise, the arch-rival of Danwuar Chet Prasad Gautam (Mani) got 9,010 votes.
