One arrested with illegal currencies of several nations from TIA



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested an Indian national who was about to smuggle currencies of several countries out of Nepal.

The arrested has been identified as 45-year-old Indian national Satish Parsottam Sajanani.

He was arrested from the international departure terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Wednesday in course of security check. He was headed to Dubai on a Fly Dubai flight.

Police seized 20,150 US dollars, 31,600 Nepali rupees, 5 British pound, 50 Georgian lari, 100 Indian rupees and 1,355 UAE dirhams from him.
