54 health workers and staff tests positive for coronavirus in Tanahun

TANAHUN: Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 54 health workers and staff working in different health offices in Tanahun.

Seventeen people at Bhimad Primary Health Post in Bhimad Municipality-6 have tested positive for Coronavirus.

Sagar Ghimire, the acting chief physician of the Center, informed that the service of the health post has been stopped after coronavirus was confirmed to most of the staffers, including three doctors.

Likewise, three of the four people working in the health department of the municipality have also been confirmed with coronavirus.

Symptoms of infection include fever, headache, cough, body aches, runny nose, and sore throat.

Similarly, coronavirus has also been confirmed to 14 employees working in the office of Shuklagand Municipality of the district.

As the number of infected cases is on the rise, all services except the essential ones have been closed.

Chief Administrative Officer Lilaballabh Neupane informed that services, other than essential ones, have been suspended from last Friday until further notice.

Likewise, six health workers working at Khairenitar Health Post in Shuklagandaki-4 Dulegauda Bazaar have also tested positive for coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the infection has been confirmed in 14 employees and health workers of Aabukhaireni Rural Municipality.
