KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Israel in Nepal has provided emergency humanitarian assistance to communities affected by devastating floods in Ward No. 6 of Baireni, Galchhi Rural Municipality, Dhading, one of the areas severely impacted by the recent flash floods.
Deputy Chief of Mission Janan Bebar visited the affected area and handed over emergency go-bags and boxes containing essential supplies to individuals and families facing immediate difficulties following the disaster.
The assistance is part of the embassy’s first phase of emergency relief efforts. The Embassy of Israel said it remains in close coordination with relevant Nepali authorities to assess the evolving needs of affected communities and will provide additional assistance in the coming days based on identified requirements.
Ambassador of Israel to Nepal Shmulik Arie Bass said Israel stood with the people of Nepal during the difficult period and expressed solidarity with those affected by the floods.
“Our thoughts are with all those affected by the floods, and we hope this initial assistance will provide some immediate relief to affected communities. Israel remains committed to supporting Nepal as it responds to the crisis,” Bass said.
The embassy also expressed solidarity with affected communities and acknowledged the efforts of Nepali authorities, first responders and volunteers involved in relief and response operations.
