Weather to remain partly to generally cloudy today



KATHMANDU: Weather across the country is now partly to generally cloudy and some places have been witnessing rainfall due to impact of monsoon low pressure system today.

Meteorologist at Meteorological Forecasting Division, Pratibha Manandhar, said that light to moderate rainfall has been predicted in Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces this afternoon.

A heavy rainfall is likely to take place in Sudurpaschim Province. Similarly, there is a possibility of light rainfall in Sudurpaschim Province and hilly areas in the night.

Although weather of Kathmandu Valley has remained generally cloudy today, there is no possibility of rainfall.

However, light rainfall has been forecast in Kathmandu Valley on Friday afternoon, added Manandhar.

The Meteorologist shared, “There is no possibility of rain in Bagmati Province today. However, the sky will remain generally cloudy. Rainfall is likely to take place in Bagmati on Friday evening.”

Likewise, few places of Province 1, Madhes and Gandaki Provinces have been witnessing light to moderate rainfall.

Light to moderate rainfall along with thunder and lightning has been predicted at some places of Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces and few places of the remaining provinces today.

Today’s minimum temperature of Kathmandu Valley is recorded 26 degree Celsius and maximum temperature 30 degree Celsius.
