NEPSE declines by 7.24 points on Monday



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) which declined by 7.72 points on Sunday declined by 7.24 points to close at 2053.30 on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

When all sub-indices declined except mutual funds, the market declined by 0.35 percent today.

Due to the general decline in NEPSE, the trading volume also decreased on Monday. The share market which had witnessed the transaction worth Rs 2.4 billion on Sunday, had  the transaction worth Rs 1.72 billion from 5,230,763 shares on Monday.

Out of the Monday’s transactions, Himal Dolakha Hydropower had a turnover of more than Rs 280 million while Ridi Hydropower had a turnover of Rs 85 million.

Shares of 187 companies were traded in the market throughout the day, and the share prices of 124 companies declined. Similarly, while the share price of 47 companies increased, the share price of 16 companies remained stable.
