Nepal sees 658 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 658 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Monday.

Of the confirmed cases, 405 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 253 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 6,643 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 3,381 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 3,262 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 4,296 active cases in the country as 456 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One more coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,993 to date.
