Minister Jhankri leaves for the US; to address a high-level meeting of UN-Habitat



KATHMANDU: Urban Development Minister Ram Kumari Jhankri has left for the United States.

Minister Jhankri left for the United States on Friday evening to address a high-level meeting at the UN-Habitat headquarters in New York.

The spokesperson of the Ministry, Joint Secretary Bishnu Prasad Sharma informed that she will address the meeting on April 28.

The meeting will discuss the status of the implementation of the New Urban Agenda 2015 under the auspices of UN-Habitat.

Minister Jhankri is accompanied by the Director-General of Urban Development and Building Construction Padma Kumar Mainali and Deputy Director General Dilip Bhandari.

Minister Jhankri will return home on April 31, spokesperson Sharma said.
