KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has asked one and all not to obstruct social life in the name of staging demonstrations, as some groups are taking to the streets in the past couple of days.

Issuing a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry said its serious attention was drawn to the vandalism of public and private property and obstruction to citizens’ right to freedom through violent activities. The Ministry also drew attention of all to not carry out such activities.

“The Government of Nepal condemns the violent acts like obstructing the vehicle of former Prime Minister and hurling stones at his vehicle and a probe is initiated against those involved in such incidents,” according to the Home Ministry.
