KATHMANDU: Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chairman Rajendra Lingden has made a lead against Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula in Jhapa-3.

He has trailed Sitaula, who had taken the lead until now, by 14 votes. Out of 500 votes till noon, Lingden got 227 votes and Sitaula got 213 votes.

Sitaula has the support of the parties in the power coalition including the CPN-Maoist Center, while Lingden has the support of the CPN-UML.
