Nepal Rastra Bank issuing treasury bill of Rs. 8.23 billion Monday

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank is to sell treasury bills worth Rs 8.23 billion today.

The central bank is going to sell treasury bills worth Rs 2.23 billion for 91 days and Rs 6 billion for 182 days through bidding process.

The treasury bidding will be open online on Monday at 3 p.m. The 91-day treasury will mature on May 24 and the 182-day treasury will mature on August 23, according to Rastriya Bank.

NRB will issue treasury bills to A, B, and C class banks and other financial institutions participating in today’s bidding on Tuesday.

NRB sells bonds through bidding process to raise short-term loans required by the government.
