Nepal sees 74 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 74 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 39 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 35 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,512 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,535 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,977 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 1,619 active cases in the country as 160 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,016 to date.
