Nepal sees 299 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 299 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases, 180 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 119 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,337 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,670 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,667 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 4,625 active cases in the country as 577 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Two more coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,992 to date.
