Rabi Lamichhane elected PP leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party



KATHMANDU: Party chairman Rabi Lamichhane has been elected as the leader of the Parliamentary Party (PP) of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

A meeting of the party held on Monday elected Lamichhane as the leader of the parliamentary party.

Lamichhane was elected unopposed, according to Kabindra Burlakoti, a leader of the party.

The party’s deputy leader, chief whip and whip are yet to be elected.

A meeting of the party will decide the names for the remaining posts.

The meeting to be held today itself will decide whether or not the party should join the government.

The RSP has won 7 seats under the first-past-the-post system and 13 seats under the proportional representation category.
