Nepal turns the happiest country in South Asia

KATHMANDU: Nepal is ranked 85th in the list of happiest countries in the world. The World Happiness Report 2022 ranks Nepal first in South Asia in the list of happy countries.

China ranks 82nd, three places above Nepal, while Russia, which is involved in the war with Ukraine, ranks 74th. Ukraine is 108th under attack by Russia.

Nepal is followed by Bulgaria and Maldives. Bangladesh is ranked 99th and Pakistan 103rd in the list. Sri Lanka is ranked 126th while India is ranked 136th.

According to the list, Afghanistan is the saddest country in the world. Afghanistan is followed by Lebanon and Zimbabwe. Bhutan is not on the list for technical reasons.

Finland topped the list for the fifth time continuously

Finland has once again proved to be the happiest country in the world. The World Happiness Report 2022 named Finland the happiest country in the world. Finland has become the happiest country in the world for the fifth time in a row in the World Happiness Report.

The World Happiness Report typically ranks 150 countries based on a variety of factors, such as per capita GDP, social support, healthy average life expectancy, freedom of choice, generosity and perceptions of corruption.

Denmark and Iceland are second and third on the list, respectively. Switzerland is in fourth place, while the Netherlands and Luxembourg are in fifth and sixth place, respectively. Sweden, Norway and Israel are in seventh, eighth and ninth place respectively, and New Zealand is in tenth place.
