Nepal records single-day spike of 11,352 new Covid cases

Four coronavirus-related deaths reported; 6,343 new cases in Kathmandu Valley



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 11,352 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the highest of the daily cases as of Wednesday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 613 people recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases today, 9,502 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 1,850 from the antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were four coronavirus-related death reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,628 to date.

Meanwhile, coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 6,343 people in Kathmandu Valley.

Of them, 578 cases are from Bhaktapur, 1,019 in Lalitpur and 4,666 in Kathmandu.
