Jitiya incorporates unique identities of our cultures, tradition: PM



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has wished for good health and long life to all Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion of Jitiya festival marked in Nepal’s Tarai region with religious and cultural importance.

The PM has said that the Jitiya festival celebrated in the Terai region has been established as a unique festival of Nepal, which is marked with great fanfare wishing for the family’s happiness, peace and progress.

In a message today on the occasion of the Jitiya festival, PM Deuba has said that the Jitiya festival has also incorporated the unique identities of our cultures and traditions adding that the festival has contributed in the promotion of unity amid diversity and social goodwill.

The PM has said this festival will inspire to deepen the affection, love and dedication between the mother and children.
