Labour ministry gets permission in principle to construct labour hospital



KATHMANDU: The government has given permission in principle for the construction of labour hospital.

The cabinet meeting held on Thursday gave permission for the same.

Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Krishna Kumar Shrestha, had under the coordination of Joint-Secretary Shesh Narayan Poudel to carry out feasibility study for the construction of the hospital meant for workers.

According to the Minister Shrestha’s Secretariat, the team has been carrying out study on human, material, financial and managerial resources, operation modalities as well as other aspects operation model of the operation of the hospital.

Minister Shrestha had presented the proposal putting the construction of labour hospital in priority in order to make arrangement of treatment services to workers contributing in country’s development in an affordable price as there is already separate hospital for Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and civil servants in the country.
