Supreme Court convening full court meeting today

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) is holding a meeting of the full court today afternoon.

Chief Justice (CJ) Cholendra Shumsher Rana, however, will not participate in the meeting, SC sources have said.

The meeting has been called at a time when several Supreme Court Justices, staffers and others have tested positive for coronavirus lately.

The meeting will discuss the court services following the third wave of coronavirus, according to the source.

The meeting is likely to make a decision about the future course of action and its services.

It has been learned that CJ Rana will not sit in the meeting as some judges have been demanding his resignation.

However, he will sign the decision of the meeting, an SC source said.
