‘Science and technology lead society to equality and justice’

KATHMANDU: CPN Maoist Center Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said science and technology was instrumental to take the society to equity, socialism and justice.

Dahal said so while addressing a program organized on the occasion of the 10th Science Day in the capital on Saturday.

“Science advocates for truth and factual things and stands for equality and justice,” he argued.

Traditional dogma often adopts divide and rule by inculcating values of discrimination, disrespect and hierarchy, the former prime minister asserted, calling for coordinated efforts against such tendency.

He also underlined the need to create wider discourse on the science and technology within the country.

He claimed that big contributions could be made for the prosperity of society and nation through the application of science and technology.
