Bamdev Gautam to initiate a campaign to unify Nepal’s communist forces



KATHMANDU: National Assembly (NA) member Bamdev Gautam has said that he would again engage in the campaign to unite all communist forces in the country.

Stating that he has not been involved in any party lately, Gautam said that he was thinking of initiating a campaign to reunite the Left parties.

Speaking at a special meeting of the National Assembly on Friday, Gautam, who was also a member of the erstwhile Nepal Communist Party (NCP) secretariat, clarified that he would not comment on any of the leaders to make his campaign easy.

He said, “I am not involved in any party for some time now. And, I think the communist parties should be united again. That is why I have not commented on any leader.”

Gautam said that since the parties are divided, he would try to integrate them once again to unify the communist movement in the country.
