KATHMANDU: Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has urged to make more cartoons for controlling corruption.
Speaking at a cartoon exhibition organized by the Cartoonists’ Club of Nepal (CCN) started at Nepal Art Council at Babar Mahal in Kathmandu on Sunday, Sapkota urged cartoonists to make more cartoons against corruption.
Stating that corruption is the most serious problem of the country, Speaker Sapkota said if corruption was not targeted then it would severely hamper the country.
Saying that he did not engage in any corruption of even two cents, he expressed his commitment to anti-corruption campaign.
“Let’s not say corruption can be eradicated now. But if controlled, it is sure to the make country astray,” he said.
He also added that he has not been able to work in a comfortable environment since he became the Speaker.
According to CCN, the exhibition will last till April 19. The exhibition features anti-corruption cartoons by about three dozen cartoonists.
CCN also plans to display the cartoons in all the provinces of the country.
