Nepal sees 6,734 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 3,939 cases in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 6,734 new cases of coronavirus while 547 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 5,747 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 987 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 2,943 cases in Kathmandu, 201 in Bhaktapur and 795 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 3,939 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were three coronavirus-related death reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,623 till date.

There are 30,877 active cases of coronavirus in Nepal as of Monday.
