Three golds for Nepal Army and one for Gandaki in Taekwondo

BAGLUNG: In the ITF Taekwondo which started in Baglung from Saturday under the 9th National Games, the departmental team of Nepali Army has won three golds and Gandaki Province has won one gold so far.

Dhansingh Pariyar of NA won the gold medal for the blue belt, Bhim Bahadur Tamang of the Army for the first dan of the black belt and Sustima Shrestha won the gold medal for the women of the blue belt category.

Bhim Bahadur Gaha from Gandaki province won gold medal and Sandesh Sunar from Lumbini province won silver medal for red belt.

According to Anju Rawat, General Secretary of Nepal ITF, Sufal Pariyar of Lumbini won silver medal in pattern in blue belt, Pravin Budha of Gandaki province won silver in black belt and Monika Kunwar from Gandaki won silver in women’s blue belt.

The remaining matches of ITF Singles Spire, Team Spire, Single Patron and Team Patron will start from Sunday morning. Two hundred and fifty players from seven provinces and three departmental teams are participating in the competition.

The players will compete for 45 gold, 45 silver and 30 bronze medals in ITF Taekwondo. The tournament was inaugurated on Saturday by Basant Kumar Shrestha, Mayor of Baglung Municipality.
