RPP to field “popular” faces under PR category

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has said it would give priority to new and popular faces under the proportional representation (PR) category in the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives.

The parliamentary committee decided to give priority to new faces rather than repeating the same old faces.

“People who can increase votes in the party proportionally, and who are popular in the society, will be given preference,” an RPP leader said.

The Election Commission has asked the parties to submit the closed list of candidates for proportional representation on September 18 and 19.
