Nepal sees 848 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 848 new cases of coronavirus and one death in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 399 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 449 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 5,619 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,722 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,897 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,259 active cases in the country as 526 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One more coronavirus related death were recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,990 to date.
