KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition has decided to send the Citizenship Bill to the President’s office as it is.
The Citizenship Bill, which was sent back by President Bidya Devi Bhandari to the Federal Parliament, has already been introduced in the Parliament meeting on Tuesday.
One of the leaders said that a meeting of the ruling alliance held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar decided to send the bill to the President without making any changes.
“The coalition meeting has decided to send the citizenship bill to the President as it is,” a leader, who participated in the meeting, said.
The bill sent to Sheetal Niwas for the second time cannot be sent back to the Parliament by the President, according to the constitutional provision.
