Indian PM Modi returns home

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived Lumbini this morning in connection with an official visit to Nepal, returned home this afternoon on a special helicopter of the Indian Air Force.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba bade farewell to the Indian Prime Minister at the helipad constructed near the International Buddhist Prayer Centre and Auditorium here in Lumbini.

Nepal, India sign MoU to construct Arun-4 hydropower project

A bilateral memorandum of understanding for the construction of the identified 490.2 megawatts Arun-4 hydropower project has been signed between the governments of Nepal and India.

Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Kulman Ghising and chairperson and operation manager of the Indian hydropower company Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam, Nanda Lal Sharma signed the MoU for the joint venture semi-reservoir based hydropower project between the NEA and Nigam.

Bhaktapur becomes a corona-free district

Three killed in Darchula microbus mishap

Three people have died in a microbus accident in Shailyashikhar municipality in the Darchula district.

The accident took place at Lakhola near the ward office of Shailyashikhar municipality-6, Gwani. The deceased have been identified as Prakash Singh Dhami, Navin Singh Dhami and Harish Dhami.
