KMC independent mayoral candidate Balen Shah still ahead



KATHMANDU: Balen Shah, an independent mayoral candidate for mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, is leading the vote count with 7,089 votes so far.

CPN-UML’s mayoral candidate Keshav Sthapit is chasing Shah with 3,746 votes.

Similarly, Sirjana Singh of Nepali Congress, who represents the ruling alliance, has received 3,300 votes.

Similarly, Deputy Mayoral candidate of UML Sunita Dangol is leading with 5,844 votes.

Rameshwar Shrestha of CPN (Unified Socialist), who was nominated by the ruling coalition, got 1,609 votes.
