UAE agrees to waive recruitment process fee of Nepali migrants



KATHMANDU: A joint committee meeting of the Nepal-UAE has concluded in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The meeting held at the Ministry of Human Resources the UAE in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday reviewed the implementation of the decisions taken by the first meeting of the joint committee convened in 2019.

In the meeting the UAE expressed commitments to assist the Skill Development Center the Nepal government is establishing with an objective of producing skilled manpower, informed the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security.

The UAE has also pledged support for Reunification Project to be established to help those Nepali youths who have returned home after doing jobs in the UAE.

Likewise, the UAE has agreed to run a pilot project to recruit free of cost in five sectors out of 19 different sectors that would be categorized based on the job descriptions, the ministry said.
