Political meetings not aimed at garnering support for ministerial portfolio: NC leader KC



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Arjun Narsingh KC has said that his meetings with the top leaders of the party were not meant to get any ministerial position.

Leader KC said that he has met with the party’s top leaders including party President Sher Bahadur Deuba, leaders of CPN-UML, Maoist Center and other parties regarding the current political situation.

He said that the current political situation is challenging and that he has met with the leaders to discuss how to resolve the negative perceptions of the public and move forward.

Leader KC said that the citizens voted for the independents as a no vote against the leaders, leadership, policies and working style of the established parties.

“The journey is challenging. There is a kind of negative perception that has been seen in the public mind, all parties and leadership need to understand that the ‘No Vote’ has been piled up against the leaders. We need analyze the situation seriously,” he said.
