KATHMANDU: The joint military exercise between the Nepali Army and the Indian Army is starting on Friday.
A team from the Indian Army arrived in Nepal on Wednesday to participate in military exercises to take place at Saljhandi in Rupandehi near the Nepal-India border.
Spokesperson of the Nepali Army Narayan Silwal said the military exercise called “Suryakiran” between the Nepali and Indian armies takes place in each other’s countries every year.
The 16th edition of “Suryakiran” is to be held in Nepal.
The 15th edition was held in Pithoragarh, India, in which 650 soldiers from both sides participated.
The exercises are a paragon for the exchange of professional experience & cementing the friendship between the two armies, Indian Embassy in Nepal said.
