KATHMANDU: China has reopened Rasuwagadhi and Tatopani border points after nearly one month.

The border points were closed for a long time due to COVID-19 spread in Tibet and other parts of China.

The border points came to operation after China’s National People’s Congress Chairman Li Zhanshu assured President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the same on Wednesday.

Seven cargo containers have already entered Nepal today (Thursday) while seven are expected to enter Nepal by this evening, informed District Administration Office, Rasuwa.

Earlier today, Chinese leader Li returned home after wrapping up his four-day visit to Nepal.
