Comedian Joginder decorated with Jana Sewa Shree Medal



KATHMANDU: Shiva Shankar Rijal, who is widely known as comedian Joginder, has been decorated with the Jana Sewa Shree Padak.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari conferred the honorary title on Joginder and other national dignitaries for their outstanding contributions in various fields.

Every year on the occasion of Constitution Day, the government honors those contributing immensely to the nation from their respective walks of life.

Last year on Constitution Day, the government announced to felicitate various people from the field of art as well.

Joginder was elated after being honored with the Jana Sewa Shree Medal.

“Despite being active in social service along with the art sector, I never mentioned it. But when work is recognized, it has instilled motivation in me to move forward with greater enthusiasm,” he said.

Joginder committed to expanding his activism in various other fields along with art in the coming days.

Joginder, who is also active in politics, is a member of the Mahasamiti of the Nepali Congress elected from Sarlahi Constituency No. 4. Moreover, he is also the General Secretary of the Nepal Cultural Association.

Other artists were also decorated with various titles on the occasion.
