Nepal and India competing for the U-17 Men’s SAFF Championship title

KATHMANDU: Nepal and India are facing each other for the U-17 Men’s SAFF Championship title on Wednesday.

In the tournament held in Colombo, Nepal defeated the home team Sri Lanka in the semi-finals. India defeated Bangladesh and reached the final. The final match between the two will start at 8:30 pm today.

This is the fourth time Nepal reached in the final of the Championship. Even though Nepal reached the final three times before, her attempt to clinch the title was foiled by India. Nepal and India were in the same group this time.

Urjan Shrestha, the coach of the Nepalese team, said that even though they had won the group stage against India, the final match would be a tough one for the both teams.
