Chances of rain with thunder today

KATHMANDU: Heavy rains with thunder are likely in some places with the weather remaining generally cloudy in the country today.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some places of the country with possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places of Sudur Paschimi, Lumbini, Gandaki, Bagmati and Province No. 1.

In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of the hilly areas of the country and a few places in the rest of the country.

There is possibility of heavy rain in a few places in Province No. 1 and one or two places in Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Later in night, there is probability of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of the country, and heavy rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places of Province No. 1 and Sudurpaschim Province.

According to the latest information of the weather forecast division, the minimum temperature of Kathmandu valley today is 22.3 degrees and the maximum temperature is 31.4 degrees Celsius.
