NC to conduct election campaign from August 22



KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) will conduct nationwide election campaign from August 22 to September 9.

Likewise, the party will be registered at the Election Commission (EC) for the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and Province Assembly soon.

The party has entrusted office chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel to register the part at the EC to take part in the first-past-the-post and proportional representation elections to the members of the HoR and Province Assembly.

The party will be registered at the EC in accordance with Article 271 of the Nepal Constitution and Section 48 of the Political Party Act, 2073 BS.

The party has already decided to entrust party President Sher Bahadur Deuba to provide an official letter of nomination to the candidates to be filed in elections on behalf of the party.
