Nepal sees 12 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 12 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Out of the confirmed cases, seven were detected through the RT-PCR method and five through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,341 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,473 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 868 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 93 active cases in the country as 16 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.
