Two rounds of aerial fire in Deumai, Ilam



ILAM: Police had to fire two rounds in the air in Deumai Municipality of Ilam during a dispute over vote counting.

According to sources, the tensions erupted after the coalition demanded re-election, saying a swastika was found on the pockets of the counting staff.

SP Mahendra Shrestha of the District Police Office said that discussions are underway to settle the dispute.

The situation is now under control, SP Shrestha informed.
