Son strikes septuagenarian mother to death



MORANG: A man has murdered his own septuagenarian mother by striking her with a cudgel in Morang district.

The deceased has been identified as 70-year-old woman Chandramaya Bhandari of Urlabari municipality-4.

According to DSP Deepak Shrestha of District Police Office, Morang, Ganga Prasad Bhandari, 35, murdered his mother Chandramaya over a minor dispute.

Police have arrested the assailant Ganga Prasad and are investigating the case.

Critically injured Chandramaya breathed her last in the course of treatment at Madan Bhandari Hospital and Trauma Center in Mangalbare on Sunday night, informed DSP Shrestha.
