Li’s visit: Traffic in Kathmandu to be affected today



KATHMANDU: Traffic in Kathmandu will be affected today as visiting China’s National People’s Congress Standing Committee Chairman Li Zhanshu will be on the move for his high-level political meetings.

Li is holding high-level meetings on Tuesday.

The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office informed that traffic in the capital will be affected throughout the day.

The Office has urged people to use alternative routes saying that traffic in various places of Kathmandu will be affected.

Traffic will be affected in areas around Ravibhavan-Soltee Hotel, Kalimati, Teku, Bhotebhal, Tripureshwar, Thapathali, Kupandol, Maitighar, Naya Baneshwar, and Tinkune in the afternoon, according to the Metropolitan Traffic Division.

Similarly, around 4:30 PM, traffic will be affected in areas around Padmodaya Mode, Bhadrakali, Singha Durbar, Maitighar, Babarmahal, Thapathali, Tripureshwar, Kupandol, Bhotebhal, Teku, Kalimati, Ravibhavan and Soltee Mode.

The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has urged people to make their journey easier by using alternative routes during that time.
