EC launches online registration of voters’ roll in Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) of Nepal has launched online registration for voter’s roll with photos in Kathmandu Valley.

The process has been further simplified and has been launched as a pilot project in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur, according to the EC.

Those eligible Nepalis who have not yet registered on the voter list could log in to www.election.gov.np and fill in their personal details and submit them to the District Election Offices in their respective districts, according to a statement issued by the EC.

Once the registration is over, one can contact the related District Election Office with a copy of print with symbol number and other necessary documents for taking photos and fingerprint, EC spokesperson Shaligram Poudel Sharma said.
