One killed in milk tanker accident



KAPILVASTU: A co-driver died after a milk tanker met with an accident in Gorusing, Buddhabhumi Municipality-2, Kapilvastu.

Co-driver Ashish Adhikari, who was seriously injured in the accident, died while undergoing treatment at Chauraha Hospital in Butwal, according to Police Inspector Rajan Dhakal of the District Traffic Police Office, Kapilvastu.

The tanker, bearing registration number Lu 1 Ka 0845, was traveling from Pattharkot toward Gorusing when it veered off the road and hit a roadside tree.

Police have taken the tanker driver, Mahesh Prasad Chaudhary, into custody for investigation.
