Election Commission to begin daily press briefing from today



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) is to conduct regular press briefing on the activities relating to the local level election and EC’s preparation for election from today.

According to EC Spokesperson Shaligram Tiwari, the Commission will organize a press meet at 4 pm everyday from Sunday.

The government has already declared to hold the local level election on May 13 and asked the EC to intensify its preparation for conducting the election effectively.

Spokesperson Tiwari remarked that the media briefing and the subsequent media coverage on election preparation would help build atmosphere conducive to election.
