Vyas municipality to conduct free PCR test



DAMAULI: Vyas municipality is to conduct free RT-PCR test for coronavirus.

The municipality decided to make RT-PCR test free of cost from January 15 at the COVID Hospital located at ward no 10 of the municipality.

Health section Chief of the municipality, Pramod Soti, said that PCR test has been made free of cost in view of increasing cases of COVID-19. Earlier, the municipality used to charge Rs 1,000 for PCR test.

“A decision has been taken to make PCR test free of cost to municipality dwellers during the pandemic period considering the coronavirus risk,” he said.

The municipality has brought the PCR lab into operation at the Hospital.
