SUNSARI: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has asked the opposition to refrain from making statements that disturb communal harmony.

Nepali Congress leader Karki, who is the ruling coalition’s candidate from Sunsari Constituency 4, Friday asked the leaders and cadres of the opposition parties to not express opinions that jeopardise ethnic relations and make personal accusations.

Minister Karki also cautioned that political personalities inciting hatred for personal gains could cause long-term damages to the society.

Stating that his party respected all languages, religions and cultures, Karki asked everyone contesting the November 20 elections to focus their discussions on agenda and development.

He further highlighted everything he has done for the region and said he would do more if elected again.
