Nepal sees 781 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 781 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Of the confirmed cases, 419 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 362 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,712 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 2,290 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,422 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,775 active cases in the country as 511 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Two more coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,984 to date.
