Dr. Bhattarai suggests two ways to steer JSP ahead (With full text)

KATHMANDU: Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal (JSP) Federal Council President Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has put forward two proposals on how to move forward the party already on the verge of split.

In an extended meeting of the Central Committee called by Bhattarai camp on Tuesday, Bhattarai presented a political report titled ‘Rational and working procedure for party transformation/rebuilding ‘.

In the report, he mentioned that the party suffered from six different problems including ideological, organizational and leadership modalities.

He said, “We had formed the party by gathering different political groups, agitating factions, ideologies and personalities. The legitimacy and necessity of the JSP has become even more acute now. There is a way to determining the party’s legitimacy which is done by the Election Commission (EC). While the EC does its work, whether we retain legitimacy of the party or not, in both cases, we will have the ideological, theoretical, political legitimacy.”

Discussion on the document would be held in the assembly.

Meanwhile, JSP Chair Upendra Yadav has called central committee meeting in Birgunj Tuesday itself.

The Yadav faction will also convene central committee meeting in Birgunj on Wednesday and Thursday.
